Strong, easy to handle lightweight desiccator with lower container made of polypropylene
and upper transparent dome of rigid polycarbonate giving a crystal clear view of the
desiccant placed inside. This auoclavable desiccator can hold vacuum up to 740mm of Hg for 24 hours without any greasing. Dome provided with a knurled knob at the top for easy handling and polypropylene stopcock with self lubricating PTFE plug. This stopcock works three ways, for vacuum creation, shutting off and vacuum release. Lower container has internal groove on the flange to take a silicon rubber Oring. Supplied with thick perforated polypropylene plate with a big hole at the center for easy lifting and small holes providing air troughs and support to the dishes. Also allows use of incandescent crucibles with porcelain desiccator plates. A convenient neatly fitted removable pan holds calcium chloride or other drying agents without any risk of corrosion.
